We are of course supremely elegant and beautiful. And evil. But anyone calling us "cute" is likely to feel the Sharp Pointy Bits in their flesh. Oh yes.

Male Blob sent Female Blob a birthday card, ostensibly from us. Normally we Don't Approve of such things, but in this case He got it about right - it's the spitting image of how Esk sees herself. You can click on the image to see a bigger version.

we had a visitor last night - Claire from Clifton Cats. It seems that They are planning a holiday (what's that?), and Claire is going to look after us.

we were very well behaved, and she seemed to think we are lovely; which, of course we are. Although, perhaps, not precisely as she thought.

Male Blob, perlmonger, has bought a Canon Pro 90 IS (it says, apparently), and has taken an image of Pepper. A huge image of Pepper - it's 1.4Mb, and 1856x1392 pixels. You can find it here, and don't say we didn't warn you. Or you can see a little version in perlmonger's LJ.

Angus is a cat who was adopted sixteen years ago by a fire station in Merseyside after having been rescued from a fire.

A Merseyside Fire Service insider said: "It's got to be said that Angus is a horrible cat. He's taken a chunk out of a fair few legs over the years and now he's forgetting his toilet training. He's left the odd damp patch on the chairs and was found sleeping on the chopping board recently. "

They were disturbed this morning when they could only count nine (out of eleven) of the fish in the pond this morning. The missing ghost koi soon put in an appearance, but the cream Zoolfish was nowhere to be seen.

we were all interrogated ruthlessly until, eventually, the recalcitrant Zoolfish emerged from under whatever stone it had been lurking. We do wish They would learn that we are not interested in Their bloody fish until the creatures have grown enough to provide a decent mouthful.

and, as an aside, they seemed ridiculously upset about the loss of a 2" goldfish that they bought on Saturday, costing less than UKP3. So They should be really distressed when we do consume the wretched piscines (heh heh!)

They have added some more fish to Their fish pond, which will in future be known as the sushi bar, thanks to valkyrie_k. Because we haven't yet touched the fish, They think that we will always leave them alone.

two of the fish are plump, and wriggle a lot, and They have christened these Zoolfish. This is unkind, but accurate.

the Female Blob has removed her 19" monitors from her desk; we used to love to sleep on them - so warm. And now there's these little thin things there - no heat, and no room to sleep.

She didn't even ask us first - She's like that.

it transpires that Female Blob omitted to remove any oxcheek from the freezer this morning, and thus there is none for our supper. She has put down a tin of tuna in an attempt to placate us; we will eat it, but She needn't think that we are won over.

we've also had a visitor today from Saudi Arabia, and someone from the Royal Signal and Radar Establishment (which sounds a bit military) - technology is truly a wonderful thing. Especially when all they ever see us do is sleep.

right. Now we're trying out LiveLizard, which looks quite fun, and allows us to edit this direct from Mozilla. This means we can sneak into the back bedroom and use the iMac, where They won't see us talking about Them. It took us ages to download, which is why we are a little stressed. Why is the internet so slow? Ah, LiveLizard doesn't seem to cope with the emoticons too well. Ho hum ..

At last! For too long, They have put Their thoughts about us on our web site, but now we can say what we really think.

please bear with us while we get the look and feel sorted out ... we're not very used to computers, but we're sure we'll manage it.

we are Esk, Pteppic, Iggy, Mustrum, Aliss, Molly, Zool, Pepper, and Drum. We may well make individual postings from time to time, but we will generally speak with a collective voice.
